Ford Power Stroke Diesel Owners

Using AMSOIL Synthetic Diesel Engine Oils and Chassis Lubricants everywhere in your Power Stroke provides excellent results.  However, don't just think oil.  Think grease, gear lube, filters and soon, transmission fluid for that wonderful Torqshift 5 speed automatic

For the Ford Power Stroke Diesels, AMSOIL engineers and manufactures a fuel efficient 5W-30 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel Oil and 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel Oil.  Used with the AMSOIL Super Duty engine oil filter these oils will allow you to go 10,000 miles between filter changes and 20,000 miles between oil changes.  Oil analysis testing should be used to verify oil fitness for further service. If analysis is done, normally longer drain intervals than 20,000 miles are possible.  If bypass filtration is added to the mix, oil analysis will be the only way of knowing when the oil needs changing again.  AMSOIL quiets noisy diesel clatter, and reduces sludge and deposit formation, gives extreme temperature protection, improved fuel efficiency and rust and corrosion prevention and cannot void new vehicle warranty. A friend of mine has a 7.2L Power Stroke Diesel with which she tows a 25 foot Airstream trailer all over the U.S. and Canada.  She lives full time in the trailer, and has put 90,000 miles on the truck in the last two years, with the same oil as of July of this year, 2004.  Laboratory oil chemical analysis every 10-15,000 miles indicates the oil is perfectly suitable for continued service. Because of this and my other experiences with Amsoil, when my new 6.0L Powerstroke is ready, it will get the Amsoil treatment complete with bypass filters.  Maybe even an Amsoil preoiler if I feel like I can afford it.

Oil analysis provides a peace of mind return for a small investment.  For larger over the road haulers bypass filtration and oil analysis reduces down time and maintenance costs by eliminating unnecessary oil changes.

One of the stress factors on turbocharged Power Stroke Diesel engines, is the lack of cool down before shutting down the engine.  Allowing the engine to idle for thirty seconds prior to shut down can diminish the risk of critical temperatures which can cause the turbo to fail.  Amsoil can also diminish the risk as synthetics do not oxidize as readily as petroleum oils as so they protect the bearing surfaces within the turbocharger from experiencing the level of heat which would cumulatively cause failures.

As I am a Powerstroke diesel owner, it is to my greater good to know all that I can about the uses and benefits of Amsoil products. You too can make use of my knowledge and experience using AMSOIL, and you will get a superior product at the same time. The Power Stroke Diesel is a marvel of modern engineering with it's design in turbo charging, direct injection, seperate oil cooling, and all the other things that make it a powerhouse.  Coupled with Ford's new Torqueshift five speed automatic transmission, this engine is just crying out to be tested with Amsoil synthetic lubricants. Ford's Powerstroke diesels are built by International, and in my opinion, "they done good".  Amsoil just makes it better.

Personally, I am really chaffing at the bit, waiting for Amsoil to formulate a transmission fluid for my five speed automatic Torqueshift transmission.  I used Amsoil Synthetic Transmission Fluid in my other trucks and was totally pleased with it.  It costs a little more initially than a petroleum flush, but my trucks ran cooler, and it was no longer necessary to change transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.  With the cost of a burned out tranny replacement moving up to seven thousand dollars, what is three hundred for fluid?
